The Grand Ball at Freemasons’ Hall, London, was a lavish white tie
affair organised by the United Grand Lodge of England.

The Masonic event of the year (after the CC 300 Ball…of course) was finally here – the Grand Ball – celebrating 300 years of organised Freemasonry on Saturday 30th September 2017 at Freemasons’ Hall in Great Queen Street. We were welcomed with a Champagne reception, the drinks, food and good vibes flowed all night long until 3am until the iconic survivors photo at 3am. Many lodge rooms were transformed in to various entertainment space: in each of the rooms, a rock band, silent disco, Gin bar, casino, skeletrix, and (my favorite) the miniature golf. The list goes on. The highlight of the night for me was the Grand Temple, which had a raised dance floor, and we danced the night away with a big band playing in the background.
Brethren from across the whole world had traveled to attend and I met brothers from Brazil, Malta and even Barnet. The night was amazing and a lot of fun, all of the CC members and partners had a jolly good time.
Thank you to UGLE for arranging a special night… I look forward to saying in many years’ time – “I was there”!
Now roll on another 300 years, I say!
